MLK Jr. Day Candlelight Walk and Celebration

Join us at Post Office Square in Belfast for a community gathering honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and all those who fight for racial justice.
The Speakers: Dr. Laura Renee Chandler, PhD, Associate Provost and Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Colby College, will discuss the importance of increasing community engagement with Black history as we strive to create a more just society.
ASL/English interpreters will be available, and everyone is welcome. A childcare area will also be provided.
Troy Howard Middle School and First Church in Belfast children’s choirs will sing.
