Event Name: Leave No Trace- Instructor Course in ASL

Date and Time (beginning and ending times): September 11-15 (5 days Overnight Canoe Trip, must commit to all 5 days)
Description of Event: This course is intended for Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, Hard of Hearing, and Late Deafened folks as well as Hearing members of the Deaf community who are fluent in ASL. Individuals interested in Outdoor Education, Biology and Earth Science Teachers, Camp Program Directors, or anyone who works or recreates in the outdoor industry would benefit from this course. Upon completion of the course, you receive a certification allowing you to train other individuals and groups in the principles of Leave No Trace.
Admission Fees: (scholarships available) $540-$850
Workshop Information: Adirondack Mountain Club is partnering with CorpsTHAT to provide a five-day, canoe-based Leave No Trace Level 2 Instructor course co-taught in American Sign Language and spoken English with interpreters provided. This course is designed for individuals who are actively teaching others backcountry skills or providing recreation information to the public.
