This is the moment you have been waiting for! Maine Deaf Arts proudly hosts the annual art night before the Deaf Culture Festival!

Community Art with Noel King
We are excited to invite a Deaf art therapist to join us this year to create 3D art pieces, including a community tree! This event is free. Please register on mainedeafarts.com to secure your spot, share the accommodations, and help us ensure we have enough art materials to cover everyone.
Children will have a different opportunity on Wednesday afternoon; stay tuned for the separate flyer.

Come to create art to add to a community tree. Together, we will reflect, heal, embrace, and love.
Noel King’s biography and headshot are inside the brown border: Noel King, MAAT, ATR (she/her) is a mental health staff and art therapist at Rochester Institute of Technology/National Technical Institute for the Deaf (RIT/NTID). Currently, she is a doctoral student in Expressive Therapies at Lesley University. She seeks to break the limitation of traditional talk therapy approaches and customize the therapy services to all deaf folx, especially underserved communities to amplify their voices. https://noelking.carbonmade.com/

Parking: MECDHH/GBSD shares the island with a state park. Please stop and identify yourself at the gatehouse if someone is at the gate. Be prepared to tell them that you guys are here for Noel King. Parking is available at the school and it’s free.
