Join us for Maine’s first Strides 4 CMV event! Our goal is to raise awareness and support for congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) while building an annual community event for families and supporters across Maine.
This event raises awareness about congenital CMV, a common and potentially serious virus that is a leading cause of birth defects and non-genetic hearing loss in children. Many expecting parents have never heard of CMV, making education and prevention efforts especially important.
Participants are invited to walk, run, or roll a 5K (3.1 miles). Every step helps support CMV prevention, education, advocacy, and research.
